Working Without Tools/Astral Tools

If you haven't gathered all the tools you want to use in the Craft,
working without them can be an effective way to learn to focus your
energy until you do obtain the tools you desire. If you do have tools
and have been working with them extensively, working without their
physical presence is a terrific way to enhance your personal skills and
powers.
Astral tools are those that you
visualize as being present without actually being physically present.
This will increase your ability to apply your personal power. When
creating the circle, visualize the energy in the form of blue light
moving into the top of your head and filling your body as you inhale,
and then direct the blue light out your hand and through your astral
wand. All the energy will be directed and "concentrated" first in your
hand, then in the wand and finally released outward to create the
circle. Continue to cast the circle and work magick as though you have
all your tools present. You might be surprised to find that the wand you
later find actually looks like the astral wand with which you've been
working.
